2024: A Year of Remarkable Achievements and Growth in Moldova’s Digital Landscape

As 2024 comes to a close, we look back on an incredible year of progress, innovation, and impact in the field of education, digitalisation, and entrepreneurship in Moldova. From supporting women in tech to empowering small businesses with digital tools, here’s a recap of our key milestones:

Education and Development

This year, we invested heavily in education and capacity-building:

• 30 participants joined the TECH Incubator in Bălți, where they learned practical skills to jumpstart their careers. 10 of them secured internships at Power IT, marking a major step forward for their professional growth.
• In Cahul, 60 women graduated from the TECH Women Incubator, gaining the confidence and knowledge to pursue careers in technology and innovation.

Digitalization of Small Businesses

Supporting local businesses in their digital transformation was a core focus in 2024:

• 15 businesses successfully enhanced their operations through the Digital Upgrade SMEs programme, improving efficiency and competitiveness.
• 8 mini-grants, each worth €1,000, were awarded to businesses for technological upgrades and modernisation.
• 4 companies received personalised mentoring in digital marketing, learning how to reach and engage their audiences effectively.

Networking and Innovation

Creating opportunities for connection and collaboration was another highlight:

• Over 1,000 participants attended the Women in Tech Summit and IT Career Expo, where they explored career opportunities, networked with industry leaders, and attended workshops on the latest technological trends.
• Through our outreach efforts, we reached over 33,000 people with campaigns promoting ICT, entrepreneurship, and the value of digital innovation in Moldova.

These activities were implemented as part of the project "Support for Market Development in Moldova: Digital Innovation, Labour Market, and Investment – Phase 1", running from October 2023 to April 2025.
